The data consists of three video clips of a T-intersection of a road A and a road C. At this intersection the road A is divided into four road segments (see figure 1). The names of the four segments are A~1, A~2, A~3, A~4. The data contains three versions of each road segment. Each of the three video clips is divided into three parts. In each part five objects are shown briefly in a random order, one object at each location. The first part represents road segment A~1. At the start of this part there is a one second pause, before the objects are shown. The total duration of this part is 20 seconds. The second part represents road segment A~2. It starts after the pause and lasts for five seconds. The third part represents road segment A~4. It starts after the pause and lasts for five seconds. The total duration of this part is 20 seconds. The fourth part consists of fixation objects for 10 seconds.
19 of the 20 objects are the five objects that represented the original road segment A. The objects are stationary, and well known from previous studies, but only the location information shown to the subject by a verbal instruction was changed in different conditions. The locations of the objects are shown in the following table. a = object shown in video clip o = object shown in the drawing max = maximum score min = minimum score x = object used in an irrelevant condition
The first part on this part of this study involves the performance on the residual learning principle using a standard method of recall (e.g. Mandler and Johnson 1966; Mandler et al. 1969). The second part involves the use of structural induction for the performance on anamnesis (Canadian survey, memory) using a standard procedure of induction (e.g. Kintsch 1972). The effects of recency, primacy, and semantic evaluation are evaluated in this context.
This exercise is designed to use recall memory, measuring the performance of the 79 respondents. Subjects are located in a town called Kathmandhu , which is situated in the state of Nepal . Twenty-nine subjects live in Kathmandhu and the other 50 in several other towns across the country. d2c66b5586
